ZenML is an extensible, open-source MLOps framework to create production-ready machine learning pipelines. Built for data scientists, it has a simple, flexible syntax, is cloud- and tool-agnostic, and has interfaces/abstractions that are catered towards ML workflows.

What we're looking for

We’re looking for a Digital Designer with a multi-disciplinary skill-set who can take over the look and feel of the ZenML experience. ZenML is a tool designed for developers and we want to delight them from the moment they land on our web page, to after they start using it on their machines. We would like a consistent design experience across our many touchpoints (including the landing page, the docs, the blog, the podcast, our social media, the product itself which is a python package etc).

A lot of this job is about communicating complex ideas in a beautiful way. You could be a developer or a non-coding designer, full time or part-time, employee or freelance. We are not so picky about the exact nature of this role. If you feel like you are a visually creative designer, and are willing to get stuck in the details of technical topics like MLOps, we can’t wait to work with you!

Responsibilities

Be in charge of delighting users with the right design choices:

• Develop a brand identity and design language that will be used across the product — from website, docs, blogs, to the product itself.
• Create illustrations, animations, and visuals for our landing page.
• Collaborate with our developers to create visual content for our blog, podcast, and newsletter.
• Explain complex topics through diagrams and illustrations to be used in video content.
• Lots of other creative visual design work that will require collaboration across the team!

Qualifications

• You have a portfolio of work submitted with at least one project that demonstrates your product design capabilities
• You have the ability to design across mobile & web platforms
• You have a demonstrated ability to make rational design decisions and communicate what makes an experience good or bad
• You are fluent in common design tools, including Figma [You get to decide the design stack]
• You have strong communication skills
• Bonus: You have front-end development skills with React, Next Js etc. We do not require you to write code but if you do, you can have complete ownership of many aspects of your work.
